We believe the use of generative-AI removes or interrupts the creative process and therefore disassociates the work from the author. In this way we believe the work becomes inconsiderate and inauthentic.

For this reason, and in solidarity with humans all over planet Earth, we have created Human Made - a simple badge for use by any human who wants to join our cause. The Human Made badge represents a promise: that any and all work we produce has been created by people, without the use of generative AI at any stage and in accordance with the terms below.

In respect of the nature of human creativity, we give you full permission to adjust, edit, reimagine or re-invent the Human Made badge and logo to suit your own personality, or you are welcome to directly use one of the versions featured below.

- You have not used generative-AI at any stage in preparation or production, or in any element contained in or associated with your work

- If you are collaborating with other humans, they must also satisfy these terms

- You are permitted to use AI tools for research or educational purposes (such as in searching for information online, or learning new skills) but no content from these tools may make its way into your finished works

- We are aware that some people will use the Human Made badge to pretend they have created works authored by AI. We are not a regulatory body and cannot provide proof of humanity. This is about building trust with your audience and standing by your fellow humans
